Description
Responsibilities
- Technical Development
- Develop and customize SAP PRC functionalities using ABAP and related technologies.
- Implement enhancements for specification management, compliance checks, and SDS generation.
- Integration
- Design and develop interfaces between SAP PRC and SAP ERP, PLM, and external regulatory content providers (IDS).
Including interfaces to IMDS, CAMDS and CDX.
- Ensure smooth data exchange using IDocs, BAPIs, and APIs.
- System Configuration
- Configure compliance rules, data models, and workflows in SAP PRC.
- Support implementation of global regulatory requirements such as REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, EU POP, etc.
- Performance Optimization
- Analyze and optimize system performance for compliance processes.
- Testing & Documentation
- Prepare technical specifications, perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Maintain documentation for custom developments and integrations.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts and compliance teams to translate requirements into
technical solutions.
Requirements
Years of experience: 5+ years of proven experience as an SAP EHS PRC Developer.
Functional Skills
- Understanding of global material-substance compliance regulations such as REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, EU
POP, etc.
- Familiarity with substance management and chemical classification.
- Basic knowledge of product lifecycle and supply chain compliance processes.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in ABAP development (including object-oriented ABAP).
- Experience with SAP EHS(M) Product and Reach Compliance (PRC).
- Knowledge of the SAP S/4HANA environment.
- Familiarity with integration technologies (IDoc, BAPI, RFC, Web Services).
- Understanding of data structures for compliance (specifications, material master).
- Knowledge of regulatory content integration.
- Optional: Experience with SAP Workflow and BRF+ (Business Rule Framework).
