Main Responsibilities
Governance, Standards, and Best Practices
- Define, maintain, and evolve SAP team work guidelines, including:
- Development best practices
- Clean Core strategy and extensibility models
- DevSecOps cycle applied to SAP
- Security, compliance, and quality requirements
- Define and operationalize the RISE with SAP governance model, in coordination with architecture, security, and suppliers.
- Promote the adoption of SAP standards and frameworks (SAP Activate, Best Practices, Reference Architectures).
Architecture and Business Alignment
- Work closely with business areas to:
- Understand functional and strategic needs
- Define the best SAP solutions, ensuring a balance between value, cost, and technical sustainability
- Support the definition of solution architectures and integrations
- Ensure that solutions are aligned with corporate architecture and security guidelines.
SAP Transformation and Innovation
- Accelerate the transformation of EDP’s SAP landscape, including:
- S/4HANA and RISE with SAP
- Reduction of customizations and application modernization
- Adoption of SAP BTP
- Evaluate and promote the use of artificial intelligence in the SAP context (e.g., SAP Business AI, Joule, side-by-side scenarios).
- Evaluate SAP and partner solutions, analyzing maturity, technical suitability, and business value
Licensing and Relationship with SAP
- Support the analysis, management, and optimization of SAP licensing, in collaboration with the relevant internal areas.
- Manage the relationship with SAP, ensuring:
- Strategic alignment and monitoring of roadmaps
- Coordination with SAP partners
- Management and escalation of critical issues
Collaboration and Training
- Work in alignment with other Competence, Architecture, and Security Centers.
- Contribute to the training of SAP teams, promoting standards, knowledge, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a technical and functional reference in the SAP ecosystem
Requirements
- up to 15 years of experience in the role for the service to be contracted
- Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering or similar
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and with global teams
- Ability for critical analysis and focused on problem solving
- Commitment to quality of deliveries
- Knowledge of Agile methodology, JIRA and Confluence tools (valued)
- Experience in strategic projects
- Knowledge of languages (written and oral): English (mandatory), Portuguese (valued), Spanish (valued)
- Advanced knowledge of the technology in question
- Experience in designing/architecting solutions on the technology/platform in question
- Certifications in the technologies / platforms in question
AP Competence Center – Transformation & Governance Specialist
Experience
Relevant professional experience in complex, large-scale SAP environments.
Proven experience in SAP transformation initiatives (S/4HANA, RISE, application modernization).
Technical Knowledge. Solid knowledge of:
- SAP S/4HANA and ECC
- RISE with SAP
- Clean Core strategies and extensibility
- SAP BTP and integrations
- Knowledge of SAP solution architecture.
- Solid understanding of security, compliance, and DevSecOps in SAP environments.
- Experience in evaluating SAP and partner solutions.
